Barb Mitchell, Founder
Barb studied at University of Alberta, Mount Royal University and is an Associate Teacher with Royal Conservatory and Conservatory Canada. She is an experienced professional musician with a demonstrated history of working in the music industry. Skilled in piano, composition, string arrangements, vocal arrangement, performing arts, creative direction, and corporate events entertainment, Barb is a strong operations professional.
As the creative force behind Occasional Notes , "out the of box" " sky's the limit" and "larger than life" are a part of her everyday thoughts.
Laurie Parente, Founder
Laurie has a degree from the University of Calgary and studied with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Laurie has worked as a church musician and as an accompanist. Laurie enjoys contemporary music and is deeply influenced by her classical roots.
Laurie is the practical side of Occasional Notes and loves to make sure that all of the details of an event are presented to perfection.
